Lea Crown, MPH, Director of the Meriden Department of Health and Human Services, will be giving an overview of the signs and symptoms of Monkey Pox.
This overview is part of DPHHS's continuous efforts to make the public aware of community health threats.
Ms. Crown will be speaking at the Meriden Public Library on Tuesday, September 27 at 6 PM.
Monkey Pox is spread through close personal contact with an infected persons. The illness presents with fever, rash and swollen lymph nodes. It can be very severe, lasting 2 to 4 weeks and lead to other medical complications
